STATISTICS OF THE RISING CRIME RATE IN THE WINDSOR COMMUNITY

Windsor-Essex County has exponentially been on a steep uphill climb among other similar municipalities, towns and counties with rising crime. Data collected by the Windsor Police Service shows a significant increase in certain crimes from 2011 to 2019. ACS Security can provide a solution to help mediate the risk to you or your property while allowing our local law enforcement to continue to help control the rising crime rate without dealing with minor offences. See below a small amount of collected data with offences ACS can help mediate.

Theft of items under $5,000 recorded with a total of 2815 incidents in 2011 compared to 2019 with 4286 recorded incidents. An increase of 41%, this number will only continue to grow as offenders develop the concerning disregard for law enforcement and our justice system.

Break & Enter offences recorded in 2016 was 1275 incidents compared to 2019 where it was recorded to have 1814 incidents. That is an increase of 35% in our community.

Motor Vehicle Thefts offences recorded in 2014 were 386 incidents compared to 855 incidents in 2019, an increase of 75%.

ACS will continue to provide crime data in the communities we service. ACS is happy to help local businesses and neighborhoods working together to provide a safe environment anywhere.
